She was born Bernice Marion Carlson. Bernice received her RN degree from Virginia Mason Hospital in Seattle Washington on December 1, 1947. She continued her nursing career in the states of Washington, Oregon and California until retirement. She resided in Garden Grove California for 52 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Wayne Thomas Sr., and son Bryan Thomas Sr. She is survived by daughter Karen Garrett; Sons, Wayne Thomas Jr. and Mark Thomas Sr.; 16 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren.
Bernice will truly be missed by family and friends who loved her.
