Betty Jo Yasser, age 81, died on March 16, 2012 at her Westminster residence, after a struggle with bladder cancer. Betty was born January 3, 1931 in McRay, Arkansas where she grew up until the age of 12. She then came out to California with her sister and has been out here ever since.
Betty's hobbies were painting portrait's of each of her grand and great grand children, remodeling her home, gardening , playing crossword puzzles while watching TV, (that took talent). She had the talent of a pianist where she enjoyed playing for her church and the choir, she played at Mother & Daughter Banquets, and just about anywhere where a pianist was needed, then at home with her family. She had willed one of her granddaughters her beloved piano so we hope she will carry on her grandmother's legacy. Betty worked and retired from the School First Federal Credit Union as a loan officer, she always said the job was always busy approving loans for people and kept her on her toes.!
In 1974, Betty married the love of her life Jack Yasser. They were married for 27 years until Jack lost his battle with heart failure. After some years passed mom discovered another talent, she was a song writer, sheet music writer and a composer. She had missed her husband so much she wrote a song about him " Just Another Lonely Day".
Both mom and Jack enjoyed taking us kids and their grand kids to the beach and amusement parks. After the kids where grown and out of the house, both of them enjoyed traveling freely where they wanted go and play, like Las Vegas Nevada and Baja Mexico ........
Mom is now laid to rest without pain alongside by her husband at the Westminster Memorial Park.
Betty is survived by her 5 children, 9 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren. We will all miss her so very, very much. We think of her every day for God took her from us so quickly but we know she is in a better peacefully beautiful paradise with our Heavenly Father..
