My sweet handsome Bryan, I met you because I went to Del taco a lot with my friends and you worked there, I noticed you for a lil while then one day I just told you “hey you’re really cute by the way” when I was in the drive through.. you have the cutest smile in the whole universe. I will never forget that smile you gave me that day, the next week I came back again and asked you for your number... to this day I still have that little paper with your name and number on it:) I never had the heart to throw it away and I never ever will. You asked me one day if you could walk me home from school and I told you yes :) bc I never had someone ask to walk me home, I ditched swim practice that day just bc I wanted to see you instead . You walked 2 miles everyday since that day just to walk me home, on top of that you always walked to every one of my swim meets:) When you walked me home you always asked me to give you my backpack and my books bc you said “a princess shouldn’t be carrying heavy things”. You always called me princess and cubs :) those were your two nicknames for me. You opened up a lot about your life to me and it touched me in so so many ways my love... before you met me I told you everything I’ve gone through and you were so patient, caring, gentle, and loving to me. You even told me you loved me first :) I remember that day like it was yesterday.. I remember our first kiss and how you gently lifted my chin up and asked me if you could kiss me, of course I said yes.. There is no one else like you Bryan, my heart breaks to think that the first person I ever truly loved and felt love with isn’t physically here for me to text anymore. I know you are always with me and in my heart... you and me were unfinished... I remember the last time we saw eachother you were holding me like a baby and told me “Cubs you’re the most beautiful person I’ve ever seen and I don’t know how I got so lucky”. You always reminded me how beautiful I am and how lucky you were to have me

God gave me you only for a while... I am grateful for the  gift of you... but I miss you so much. You leave a big void in our hearts. Our grandson Anthony attended CBRN school with Bryan at Ft Leonard Wood, and informed us of Bryan’s passing. Anthony is heartbroken over this, as are we.  Please know that we will never forget Bryan, may he Rest in Eternal Peace. Semper Fi, Marine. 

My son was a classmate of Bryan’s at Fort Leonard Wood. I met him a few times and was able to get some pictures of him at graduation.  I know he was very well liked by everyone there and my son was saddened when he heard the news. My heart breaks for your family.  Bryan will forever be a United States Marine and I know how proud his family must be of him.  He did more in his short time on earth than some people do in a lifetime and I know he will be greatly missed. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Rest In Peace Bryan Herrera. 🙏🇺🇸
