

Ms. Rainey was born In San Francisco, California on June 19th 1919 to Mr. and Mrs. Edward Lotter. She married Cecil P. Rainey on the 22nd of July, 1957. He passed away on July 4th, 1981. Prior to moving to Leisure World in 1990 she lived in Long Beach. Ms. Rainey was a Medical Secretary and worked for 30 years for the Grant Beckstrand Cancer Group as well as Dr. Lun Hom in Long Beach whom she worked for until 2000. At one time she was also a Secretary for the Grant Beckstrand Cancer Foundation. She worked for a construction company following World War II on the island of Guam from January 1947 to March 1948. She travelled all over the U.S., Canada and Europe. Ms Rainey enjoyed bowling at Java Lanes and playing tennis with the Leisure Group but due to injuries and surgeries to her wrists she was unable to continue.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Trempe, and two grandsons, Chris (and his wife Monica) and Matt (and his wife Karlene) as well as her two Great Granddaughters, Marissa and Madelynn; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held at Westminster Memorial Park on Tuesday February 15th from 5pm-8pm. A chapel service will be held on Wednesday February 16th at Westminster Memorial Park & Mortuary at 9:30am with burial at Inglewood Cemetery following the chapel service.
