Lisa, my daughter and I were sharing memories of Mom and Charles, and I was reminded of Charles fast driving. The first time I joined them for church services, he drove. What an experience. My life passed before my eyes. I'm sure I left deep impressions in the armrest. I thought any moment we would lift off. All through the church service I thought about our return trip home. We didn't slow down on the return. After arriving safely home I asked him if he was going for his pilot license. We had a good laugh. I told him that if I joined them again he would have to find a happy medium between the brake and the accelerator.

On another note, our family has had a good laugh about is over everyone capturing "Selfie" pictures with their phones. Charles had been shooting "Selfie" shots with his camera for 50+ years. We didn't think anything of it. To us he invented the "Selfie" pictures. I'm sure he misses his camera. Just think of the pictures he could be taking right now. Boggles the mind.

LETTER - Dear Lisa, I don't have words to help you not have pain and loss, but I will try anyway. I can say your Dad was a true and good man. Both to others, and for others. As God moved his heart to connect with me and I'm sure many others.

He was a truely good man that simply made this world better.

Uncle Chuck was a good Christian man.  You know where he has gone. The good Lord didn't want him to suffer anymore so he took him to his heavenly home.

You have all the good memories of him. I know you miss him. I loved him also, as a good man and uncle.

CARD - So sorry to hear Chuck passed away, but now all his suffering is over. And he'll be with Nellie, whom he missed so much. I tried calling him a couple times, but couldn't help crying while talking to him. I know what he was going through because I was there and saw what my son Gary went through.

Chuck and I were close in the Lord, and I loved him and will miss him dearly.  I thought of him everyday even though I couldn't bring myself to call anymore without crying. Jim and I pray the Lord be with you during this time. We love you, your in our prayers and thoughts.
 
I'll always remember the times Chuck and I spent together, soul winning, and talking to people of God's saving grace. Because of Chuck I got saved and excepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior.

By the grace of GOD Charles was directed to my life. He was a mentor, surrogate father, and close personal friend in my darkest days of life. I will never forget how much you and I have in common. Grandpa.....From the first time I met you till our last conversation, you were always kind and generous with your words and feelings.  I became a part of your family by your acceptance of me and in turn, I was blessed to say that you were family to me as well.  You will be greatly missed and heaven has another angel in its Kingdom.  All my love to you and Grandma.

Charles, you are a great friend of mine.  I miss you, but I know you are watching over all the people you care about.  The first time that I met Charles, I felt as though I had known him my entire life.  I looked forward to seeing Charles in my store every week and making sure my shelves were stocked with the pecans he really liked.  I enjoyed seeing Charles happy because he made me happy.  

Charles and I would hold hands and pray every time we spent time together, no matter where we were.  Charles would pray for me, my future, and both of our families, always emphasizing my parents, which I really appreciated.  I know when Charles would pray God listened, and it would leave me feeling confident that my family and friends, although far away, are all healthy and happy.  Charles was my dear friend and I am going to miss him, but I'm blessed to have known him.

Dear Grandpa,
Although I did not have a chance to say goodbye to you in person, I am thankful that I did get to say goodbye. It was not how I wanted to say it, but it was a goodbye nonetheless and that is what matters. It makes me happy to know that you are no longer suffering, and that you have reunited with Grandma. I will always love you, and miss you.

Although he was my Step Grandfather, he was the only Grampy I had growing up and I considered him a true Grandpa. Gramps was the real deal, what you saw was what you got and then some. Other than getting together for some family function or other, Gramps would call me about once a month to see how things were going and then he would give me a prayer but most important he always knew when our little talks were needed and of course I would come away from that conversation feeling much better about things.Gramps will surely be missed but never forgotten. I know where he is and what he is doing. I'm sure that Grandma is truely happy as well because they are together. And you can bet that both of them are looking down on us with huge smiles. Then especially the days when you, Nellie and I would go out on Saturdays knocking on doors witnessing to people about Jesus, and inviting them to our church. Brother Early was light in the darkness. He always knew when you needed him. Always up and positive. He would say "I feel so up", after talking to you, when it was him communicating his love for The Lord and the power of prayer, and that "All things are possible through The Lord". He'd say "I'm on fire for The Lord", and he was, and is. Even though we'll miss him here on Earth, we know he has achieved his goal, and kept his promise to The Lord on his death bed in 1952. He fulfilled his purpose. He was a vessel, a river bed for God to flow through, to reach out to others in their sorrow, so they too would know Jesus and be blessed. I have the last message from him on my answering machine. When I'm thinking of him, I can hear his voice and feel his presence. He loved you Lisa with all of his heart. His only regret was to leave you behind. His spirit will live forever through Scully, and he will watch over you with Nellie and The Lord. Lisa now has two Special Angels, Mom and Daddy......and as her Daddy always said "The best is yet to come". Lovingly Patty Bonin

For Brother Early, It is very seldom that I have met anyone like Brother Early. I have known him for over ten years, and I have never heard a single negative word come from him. It was predictable that every time I saw him he was always happy. He always shared kind words with me and always ended our visits with the words "The best is yet to come". Brother Early is a beautiful soul. Many times I listened to the story of how he met Nellie at the place where he and she worked. He would tell me how surprised he was when she agreed to go on their first date together. He loved her then and he still loves her even though she is now in the world of spirits. He would talk about how much he loved Nellie, and he looked forward to the time he would join her in that other world. If there was anyone who deserved to go to heaven, it would be Brother Early. I am sad that he left us. I will miss him. I believe Brother Early is in the most beautiful world that we can imagine. He is with his beloved wife Nellie, in the place we call heaven. I will miss you, your friend Ramon Bonin.

Mr. Early was an inspiration to me. He always asked me about basketball and how my practices were going. He loved to share the message of God. He had a heart for everyone, even if they were uninterested in learning about Jesus. I always think that if there were an award for most enthusiastic about God, Mr. Early would win every year. Even though it is sad to see him go, he is sharing up a storm in heaven with Jesus. The time to sorrow about Mr. Early is far behind us, now it's time to give thanks for his wonderful time on Earth.

Mr. Early always had such an amazing spirit, and he was a light to the world. I admired how he always made time to cheer people up and pray for them. He still makes me want to be a better witness.

Where to start when the friendship consists of over fifty years.  When I realized Mom was very serious about Charles, Chuck, as we called him, my feelings became territorial and possessive of her. No one was quite good enough for her in my eyes. So, in my eyes he had to prove his worthiness. Do I sound pompous .. Yes ..  But I had a great and abiding love for my precious mother. Prove himself  he did.  They both worked for the same company. They would both come home tired but there was dinner and chores to be done. Chuck did not sit down an be waited upon. You could eat off the floors.  Her oven and bathroom was always sparkling  clean. He  accepted the mantle of head of the house with love and devotion as God charged men to do. Women are proned to worry but Mom really didn't need to.  He took care of her and Lisa with the same focus. He called me often just to see how I was.  I had a lot of responsibility at work and often suffered with headaches. I would get a sweet prayer and be uplifted and be able to continue with renewed spirit.  If we were together I would receive one of his famous hard hugs. Being a Mormon and a Christian, he an I had some lively talkes.  I respected him a lot and I know he respected me as well.  I will miss those talks like two dogs fighting over the same bone. I know he's happy with Mom but I also know he's looking out for us.  So relax faithful servant.  Enjoy being with Mom and Jesus Christ an our Heavenly Father.  I hope i was a good stepdaughter. We love you......

I am saddened by the loss of our brother in Christ, but I know he is in the presence of our Lord.  That is what gives us peace.
Brother Early was and is a godly man, humble and a man of prayer. Always smiling and ready to pray for anyone that asked.  He seemed to know if someone was hurting, and then would give a word that you know was from God.  He always encouraged me.
It was an honor to know him, and it will be a blessing to see him again in Heaven.  Blessings and peace to you, Lisa.

I shared with Lisa a dream I had during the night before Christmas morning.
I was sitting next to a man in our Church foyer. He stood and faced me.  When I looked up I could see that it was Brother Early.  I asked him, "What are you doing here?"  He said with his arms raised, "Just keep praising God."  I felt such peace and joy.  He then walked around the church with his arms raised, singing and praising God.  
It was such a peaceful dream. It felt like Jesus was coming back very soon because of the peace I felt.
What a blessing for me to dream that, and to share the joy it brought me.

Merry Christmas Daddy. The family gathering just wasn't the same without you being there, but I know you and Mommy were looking down from above with a smile. We enjoyed celebrating our saviors birth and being with family that we love. Love and miss you so very much!

It took us all by surprise when we heard that Mr.Charles Early had passed away. Although  i only knew him for a short amount of time .. Thats all it took to know how sweet, caring & loving he was ... Mr. early will be truly missed by me and others as well at CVS ...i never say good bye ... I will say soo loong  until we meet again because we will meet again some day......

Charles, I'm going to miss you my friend. Although I'm sad for those of us still here on earth, I'm so excited for you to be in your new body, in the presence of Jesus and reunited with Nellie. You were such a great example to all of us with your "living" ministry and I'm so grateful for the friendship we enjoyed. You were so warm and loving and touched so many peoples lives. You fought the good fight, you finished the race and you kept the faith. I wish I could have been there to witness Jesus declaring, "Well done, my good and faithful servant". I love you my brother and I'm looking forward to our reunion.

Well done thou GOOD and FAITHFUL Servant! There aren't any better words to hear from our Master. I'm going to miss your dad Lisa, but only for a while. He is an inspiration to all of us who call ourselves " Christians", to seek the lost, and share God's Love, Encouragement, and Salvation, getting the opportunity to spend all eternity with the Alpha and Omega, and the souls we have had the compassion to share the Gospel with! Just how long IS eternity?

It was a great time of remembrance and celebration of his life.  He always had good words to share, and a great smile, and a hug.  If you had a prayer request, he would pray and follow up to know how God answered. We are blessed to have known him, and are so happy to know we will see him again, in God's kingdom.
We I went to visit him in the hospital, he prayed for me and Gary before I left. That is the example and proof of the great man of God.  Such tremendous faith, love, and hope.  
It was a great day, Lisa.  Thank you for letting us share the day.

I know I'm going to miss my Dad so much. Or "Poppy" as I liked to call him. I will miss his smile, his jokes, and him telling me what type of car he beat in a race that day. He used to drag race when he was a teenager and I guess it just stayed in his blood. I'll miss hiking in Peters Canyon with him and relaxing at night watching a good western or military movie with some popcorn. I'll miss all our phone calls throughout the day too. He even learned how to send a text message and was really proud of himself and so was I. He loved his family so much, and cherished every moment spent with them. I most of all will miss his words of encouragement and his prayers. It always kept me going. My heart is so blessed by the many lives he has touched throughout his lifetime. All the people that he loved to talk and pray with. I will miss his spirit and his excitement in his ministry of touching lives and telling them that if they would believe in our savior there lives would be blessed. He firmly believed in the blessings we would all receive if we walked in the path of righteousness. His greatest hope is that he would hear "Well done my good and faithful servant" from Jesus his precious savior. I love you Poppy always.
