I was one of Dan Chasman's students at Palisades Alternative School. Dan was an enthusiastic and honest man who supported his students. He sparked creativity in all his pupils. We send our condolences. 

I am so sorry I did not hear of Dan’s passing before today.  
Dan was an amazing teacher and friend    He inspired me in high school and continued to play a role in my life for many years.  My middle son bears his name in tribute.  
May his memory be a blessing
