

Donald Edward Clark was born June 20, 1930 in Pinckney, Michigan to Walter and Blanche (Hendee) Clark. He passed away January 23, 2016 in Long Beach, California. After growing up in Pinckney with his five brothers (Russ, Maynard, Vern, Bob and Jack) and sister Jeanne, Don joined the Air Force in 1951 and served in Korea. Following his discharge he worked for Crocker Citizens Bank and then the Carnation Company in Los Angeles, California. Later in life one of his most cherished jobs was working as a school crossing guard for the Long Beach Police Department. Don and his wife Glenniece loved traveling the country in their motorhome visiting landmarks, family and friends. They could often be found at gatherings of the Suncresters and JetLiners in favorite spots such as Casa de Fruta, Lake Elsinore and Chula Vista
Don is survived by his loving wife and friend of 30 years Glenniece Matthiesen, his daughters Renee Clark (Cutt) and Valarie Jean Clark (Sobolewski), as well as an extended and caring family that includes Brian and Young Ok Matthiesen (daughter Katherine), LeAnne Matthiesen and Lou Mallory. He also leaves behind his loving companion, Maddie the dog.
Visitation/Viewing will be held on Monday, February 1, 2016 beginning 1:30 pm at Westminster Mortuary Chapel with a funeral service to follow at 2:30 pm. Crypt-side interment will be followed by a small reception back at the Chapel Reception Room.
