Thank you so very much Jennifer Jefferson for sending me the very sad sad new on 11/29/18 regarding the loss of my very very special friend and your mother Carol.  Gosh, Carol and I had a ball together many many years ago!  We would go almost every Saturday night to the singles dances all over Southern Cali.  I was many years younger than your ma and she'd call me her  "man bait".  She was always sooo sooo funny.   We'd often go out to breakfast after the dances with several people!!!  I'm sooo happy your mom found Mr. Charle and found some happiness in her later years.  We hadn't kept in touch for the passed few years however I did think of her very very often!  I know how much she loved her children and her grandchildren!!!  I can remember coming over to her home there in Garden Grove and visiting quite often.  I recently (08-03-18) lost my dad.  He was 85 and ouch that was hard!  So I know how you are feeling.  Cherish your many special sweet memories and stay close to your family! I love my mom very much we had a very special relationship she always worked hard to help us understand that our heavenly father loved us and he would test us and give us only what we could handle i learned so much from my mom how to be a paitent and loving, my children unconditionally. I learned that i could trust that my children could make there own decision and even learning from there mistakes they made would help us to be a better person my mom never judged us or put us down for our decisions we made in life she always just wanted to know if we where happy!! I will miss her funny ways and our times of just laughing together she either couldnt hear so well so we would just laugh and make no big deal of it .i will miss our times spending together just talking at the dinner table and telling funny jokes!i remeber she loved to dance and she would even show us how to dance too and listening to her old albums of Nat king cole and chubby chase , Ray charles i learned to love music, she taught me our family is so important and being a eternal family , she loved her granchildren and always wanted to see them prosper and grow i will always be so thankful and blessed to have a mom like Her.

I just want you to know how much I loved my mom. She was the best mother in the world.  I have so many things to say but its hard for me to put into words, but I do remember her always being there for me no matter what I did wrong.  I also remember the letters you wrote. Your writing was always so nice at the start of the letter but towards the end it got real bad where it was hard to read. Haha Probably because she was so upset.
 My mom was always there for me.  I remember when I was pregnant with Robert and I was so upset in my current relationship she let me sleep with her in her bed to comfort me.  She just laid down with me and held me so tight.  It was a little weird at first spooning with my mom but I remember the comfort she provided by rubbing my pregnant belly and telling me it would be okay. 
I was the middle child and gave her the most challenges. When I got into trouble she would spank me and it was normally three good whacks but because I would kick, scream and fall on the ground before she had even touched me she would give me breaks in between spankings. In the long run it actually made it worse because by the time it was over she was even more mad. Of Course years later we have all had a good laugh about it.
There are so many memories of my mom.  Her and I have always had such a good time together being silly and acting crazy. I am so thankful for her always being there for me no matter what trials I put myself and her through. 
I will always cherish this past couple of years and the special moments we shared. She continuously told me how much she appreciated my help, how much she loved me and how she felt most comfortable with her family by her side. I am so thankful for my sobriety and that I have been able to make the changes in my life so that I had the chance to be there for her and return all she has done for me over the years.

I am so proud of my mom and thankful for the example that she set for her family. She was a hard working lady, loved her kids & had a very strong testimony of the church.  Especially tithing. Until her last days she said “make sure my tithing is paid”. My mom was the “Rock” of our family and I am going to miss her.  I could go to her with anything. She had a big heart and always forgiving. She was not one to hold on to anything and loved you the same no matter what you brought to her.
Growing up, my mom was a big letter writer. Normally these letters were found on our beds and were usually because we had done something we shouldn’t have, she was not happy about something or she was concerned about you... So, you knew when you found a letter on your bed you were in for it!  Hahaha But these letters were filled with good advice and love.  She always started her letters (which were usually 3-5 pages long at a minimum) with how much she loved us,  how much we meant to her ,  how much our heavenly father loved us, she included her testimony and how much she loved her heavenly father. They sometimes were hard to read or you didn’t want hear what she had to say but always true and exactly what we needed. My mom only wanted the best for her children and has always hoped and prayed that we can all be together again someday as an eternal family. I am going to miss being able to counsel with my mom and those letters she so lovely wrote.
In my research and going thru my mom’s personal belongings/journals I found a letter to my mom from my brother Danny just before he passed. The letter was telling my mom he was proud to be her son, telling her to be patient and basically to have faith that he will be waiting and preparing a place for her and his family.  This was very comforting to me and I was so happy to find a letter so dear to my mom.  I know she has missed my brother so much and is happy to be with him, her husband & now resting in her Heavenly Father’s arms. love Jennifer
