I really cannot believe it has been almost 2 years. I really miss seeing you but I am sure you are watching down on all of us everyday. You would be so proud of me, I graduated from Cal State Fullerton yesterday with my bachelors degree. I know you were watching over me during the ceremony, I'm sure you had the best seat in the house! I know that one day I will see you again, and until then I will always remember and cherish all the the wonderful childhood memories I have with you. I hope you are living it up in heaven! Grandma. I can't believe it's been a year.  We think about you all of the time.  There are still a lot of tears - because we miss you so much. Grandma Around The Corner..... You were always so nice to me to Kara, to everyone in fact. That's what I love about you so much. I remember getting home from school and always wanting to go over to your house. I would ride that scooter every day, but you would only let me go up and down the driveway. I wonder why LOL. Dorothy Ann Hartman was a beautiful loving woman who always warmed your heart whenever you saw her.  She raised a beautiful, loving and close knit family. Her beautiful smile will be missed at all the family get togethers.  But she will always be in our memories forever!

Auntie Dorothy, I have many fond memories form my early childhood of you and our family get togethers.  Most of all I remember the strawberry jelly that you and my mother made together.  You would make it once a year and we always had enough for the entire year!  I don't think I knew there was any other kind of jelly in the world.  I remember the great pies you use to make, and I mean great!  I think the most important thing I remeber is your love for your family and friends.  You were always there for everyone.  I know one day we will be reunited, but until then please watch over all of us (family and friends)  Say hi, to Uncle Ernie for me.  Love always.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for generously sharing the most perfect Grandmother in the world. I feel so fortunate to have been able to spend so much quality time with grandma, not only learning the secrets about how to make her fablulous chocolate and lemon meringue pies but I also had the opportunity to gain some insight into her incredible life. I realize now how all of her life experiences, influenced and shaped her into what she is to me; "the perfect grandmother".

I sincerely felt that you were like a second mother to me.
You always had time to listen. In addition to making me feel like part of the family, you made me feel like someone special. It was an honor to me that somebody of her character accepted me almost as a son.
You will truly be missed not only by your family, but everyone who knew you.

You will always be my grandma around the corner; even though you may not be there anymore I know you're in heaven watching over us. I remember when I started calling you grandma around the corner when I would want to go over to your house and bake cookies and spend time with you. I knew all I had to do was go around the corner and you would be there. All of the wonderful memories of learning how to bake cookies will always be something that I will remember and cherish forever. One thing that makes me happy is knowing that you are with grandpa now in heaven, but I will always love you and miss you.

I will never forget my childhood years and spending time with you. I loved coming over to spend the night, and getting up early, then going to work with you and grandpa.I remember The fun times we had when you would take me on trips with your camping friends and everyone would treat me like a princess (probably because I was the youngest). Not everyone gets the opportunity to live right around the corner from thier grandparents, but I did. I am honored to have had a grandma like you. I know you are with grandpa now, and in peace. You will never be forgotten,as you are in my heart forever.

First Off, I am going to miss you very much, Grandma.  Family get togethers are not going to be the same without you there.  I always looked forward to seeing you at our family events, you always were interested in what I was doing and how things were going for me.
