Dorothy Lee Siebert, a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on August 2, 2025, in Newport Beach, California, just shy of her 89th birthday. Born on August 17, 1936, in St. Louis, Missouri, Dorothy lived a life rooted in faith, kindness, and deep love for her family.
Dorothy attended St. Martin of Tours Grade School and graduated from Notre Dame High School. She went on to become a licensed vocational nurse, dedicating her career to the compassionate care of others.
She met the love of her life, Ronald Siebert, through her beloved brother Bob. Dorothy and Ronald built a life full of laughter, love, and family. Together, they raised five children: Karen Marx, Ken Siebert, Kim Howard, Kurt Siebert, and Kathy Cast. Dorothy was preceded in death by Ronald, her parents Elizabeth and Martin McEntee, and her brother Robert McEntee.
Dorothy’s warmth and wit left an impression on everyone she met. She had a generous spirit, a sharp sense of humor, and a radiant smile that could light up any room. She especially loved talking and watching sports with her grandsons and found joy in the simple pleasures of life—volunteering at church, shopping for her beloved Vera Bradley bags, and sharing ice cream with those she loved.
Faith was the cornerstone of Dorothy’s life. She was deeply religious and devoted to her church community. Her unwavering generosity and dedication to helping others were an inspiration to all who knew her.
Dorothy leaves behind a legacy of love and strength in her children and her nine grandchildren: Katelyn Marx, Patrick Marx, Gideon Siebert, Raymond Howard, Daniel Howard, Sierra Siebert, Jarrod Siebert, Ellie Cast, and Caden Cast.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dorothy’s memory to Heifer International or Project Freedom Ride, two causes close to her heart.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Westminster Memorial Park.
Dorothy’s life was a blessing, her memory a treasure. She was loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.
