

Born on January 2, 1950, in San Rafael, California, Douglas was the son of the late Stanley and Edith Scott. He spent his formative years in California, where he developed a passion for engineering and technology.
Douglas pursued his academic interests at the University of Hawaii, where he earned a degree in Electrical Engineering. His education laid the foundation for a successful career that spanned several decades as a dedicated engineer at Boeing, where his expertise and innovation left a lasting impact.
In addition to his professional achievements, Douglas found love and companionship with Sonia Scott, whom he met at a mutual friend's party. Their union was a source of immense joy and fulfillment for both of them. Douglas embraced Sonia's children, Ray (Michelle) Baca, Shahid (Melissa) Mirza, and Sonia Marie Mirza, as his own, fostering a loving and supportive family environment.
Outside of his career and family life, Douglas was deeply committed to his faith and community. He was an active member of Connections Church, where he found spiritual guidance and formed lasting friendships. His faith was a cornerstone of his life and influenced his actions and interactions with others.
Douglas also had a special bond with his beloved dog, Faith, who brought him comfort and companionship throughout the years.
Doug, was preceded in death by his parents Stanley Scott, Jr. and Edith Scott. He is survived by his stepchildren: Ray (Michelle) Baca, Shahid (Melissa) Mirza, and Sonia Marie Mirza. He also leaves behind grandchildren: Kyle Baca, Brittany Logano, Dominio Moran, Devin Ross, Jenaiya Ross, Jordan Ross, DeAndre Mirza, and Carlton Mirza. Among his great-grandchildren are Hudson Logano, Jameson Logano, Arrevs Ross, Alethea Ross, Atlas Ross, and Emilia Logano. Additionally, he is survived by cousins Marguerite Burrou and Lynne Talon.
Douglas Anthony Scott was known for his favorite interests including watching Family Feud, spending time on his computer, attending church, and enjoying dining out. Those who knew him would describe him as helpful, quiet, humble, and devoted.
