Eleanor Maxine Jordan

ELEANOR M. JORDAN

Eleanor M. Jordan, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed peacefully from this earth to heaven on October 1, 2015 from pneumonia.

Eleanor was born in Illinois to Edna and Ola Simmons. At 19 she married the love of her life, Richard Jordan. While living in Illinois, she and Richard had three daughters and in the early 1950's the family moved to El Paso, Texas. After raising her three daughters, Eleanor became secretary at Mt. Hope Lutheran Church where she worked until she and her husband moved to Stanton California. Shortly thereafter, Richard passed away. They would have been married for forty years.

Eleanor then returned to El Paso and her job at Mt. Hope Lutheran Church where she worked until she retired. She then traveled to England, Hawaii and throughout the United States with family and friends. In 1995 she returned to California and lived with her daughter Joyce for sixteen years in Fullerton and La Habra. In 2011 she moved into an assisted living facility where she remained until her death.

She leaves behind three daughters - Pat, Joyce and Maralee; four grandchildren - Linda, Doug, Scot and Debbie; and five great-grandchildren - Brittany, Lauren, Kaitlyn, Savannah and Lindsay. Eleanor lived a life of giving and caring and was loved by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be at Westminster Memorial Park Mortuary on October 8, 2015 at 11:00 AM. Chapel Service will be held at 12:00 noon with a Graveside Service to follow. Please join us immediately after in the Reception Room.
