With over 55 years of memories, there are far too many to list. Eve was a force in my neighborhood growing up...Mark and Lani were like the brother and sister I never had and Eve and Commander JJ were second parents to me for so many years. Eve was always the one who told the best jokes, and we could always count on holiday meals to be served nearer to midnight than 6 pm because socializing and seeing friends and family was so much more important. She was my mother's best friend for over 50 years, and they were partners in crime when Lani and I would go trick or treating...we always knew they were lurking in the bushes in some sort of costume to embarrass us! Eve was a band mom too...she and JJ supported Mark and his dreams to be like his idol, Paul McCartney. He made it too - and she was so proud of "my son, my son".  Lani is the spitting image of her mother in so many ways, and Evie and she were always thick as thieves. Living on Claremont Ave was made so much better because Eve Ward was there, five houses down.  After everyone grew up and moved away, she and my mom stayed close and it meant so much to my mom to have a friend like Eve.  She will be missed - I know the world is just a little less bright now...but Heaven is having quite the welcome party! Late to the party, but always the best part.  Thank you "Mrs Ward" for making my "formative years" so magical!  
I can't express enough my deepest sympathies to Mark, Lani, and Bun. Also to the Contreras family and the rest of that very large (and wonderful) Ward clan.  We were all so lucky to have THE Eve Ward in our lives.
