November 16, 1932 - August 21, 2026
Stan Wright, age 93, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2026. He passed away six years, nearly to the day, after losing the love of his life, Nancy, in 2020. They were married 66 years.
Stan was born in Long Beach, CA to Macy and Ellen Wright. Shortly after he was born, the family moved to Porterville, CA. After graduating high school in Porterville, Stan left home to attend Pasadena Nazarene College. That is where he met Nancy and they married within the year. They embarked on a life centered on their family and church.
Stan was a loving, caring, and dependable man. His constant refrain was "I love my family!” Long Beach First Nazarene was home to their family. Stan sang in the Shoremen Quartet, formed in 1964, singing at home and abroad for over 30 years. The Shoremen touched many lives through their music.
In 1979 Stan began a Manufacturers' Rep agency, Stan Wright Enterprises. He was known for his passion and persistence and his care and concern for the people with whom he came in contact. Stan left a lasting legacy for his family. Karen Robison, now leads Stan Wright Enterprises-- Andrew Robison, grandson, joined the company in 2021 and Laura Robison joined this year.
Stan was able to stay home as he aged, with Kevin, his son, taking good care of him. He died peacefully, after a week in the hospital, saying he wanted to go be with Nancy. Stan is survived by children Karen (John) and Kevin; grandchildren Andrew (Jen), Katie (Shamsi) and Laura; great-grandchildren Matilda, Simon and Laila.
Stan was preceded in death by his wife Nancy, parents Macy and Ellen Wright, sisters Lois Miner and Doris Finn and many other extended family members that were important to him.
