I was so sad to hear of Hoang’s passing.  We were good friends while at USF.  He was good natured and  kind, and always willing to help people.  We had a lot of laughs together.  He was a one of a kind person.

I am deeply saddened by the passing of Sushi.

Having worked alongside him for the past four years, I had the privilege of experiencing firsthand his professionalism, kindness, and unwavering dedication. He was always willing to offer guidance, share his knowledge, and support his colleagues whenever needed.

Despite working remotely, Sushi remained highly approachable and collaborative. He consistently made time to help others, provide thoughtful feedback, and contribute to the success of the team. His calm demeanor, positive attitude, and commitment to excellence earned the respect and admiration of everyone who worked with him.

Sushi's contributions went far beyond his work. He helped create an environment of trust, support, and teamwork, and his presence will be greatly missed by all who had the opportunity to work with him.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with his family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time. His legacy of kindness, generosity, and professionalism will not be forgotten.

I am still reeling from the news of the passing of my friend and colleague, Sushi. Having worked alongside him for the past five years, I can say without hesitation that he was one of the kindest individuals I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. His calm demeanor was a constant source of support for everyone on our team.

Despite the distance of our remote work arrangement, we remained in close contact, speaking three or four times a week, and some weeks, daily. Sushi was incredibly generous with his time; I could reach out at any hour to bounce ideas off him, and he never once showed frustration or mentioned the time of day. I often marveled at his work ethic, as he seemed to be already deep into his tasks whenever I started my day on the East Coast. He was truly brilliant at what he did, and his absence is a loss that our entire team feels deeply.

This loss is profound for all of us, especially me, and we will forever cherish the time we spent with him. Sushi's spirit and kindness will continue to inspire us, and we extend our deepest condolences to his loved ones.

I’m deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Hoang. We spent six or seven years together during college, and he was truly a good person. A simple, genuine guy who never caused any trouble for anyone and was always there when a friend needed him. He helped me through ACL surgery recovery when I needed someone. That’s the kind of person he was… Caring, dependable, and selfless. We had a lot of fun times together, and I’ll never forget some of the unique talents he had or the way he would say come on come on. He was also pretty resourceful in some hilarious ways. I’m sure everyone that he’s come across after my time with him probably has nothing but good things to say about him. Rest in peace Hoang.

While I’m still in shock, Hoang lived his life as a celebration of life. I met Hoang at USF when we were in the College of Engineering. I had the pleasure of getting to know him through our close knit friends, playing basketball with him, and a class that we both happened to overlap. The one thing I’ll take away from meeting him is the constant smile he always had. He was stoic, composed, and a straight shooter until you befriended him. In that way, he was friendly to anyone who was lucky enough to cross paths with him. He made the friendship effortless and he was always there for his friends. He lived with a quiet but noticeable personality. If you were paying attention, you would notice his principles, discipline, and a contagious joy and wonder for life and people. May you rest in peace brother as we remember and honor you. Till we meet again on a basketball court somewhere.  ❤️

Thank you Hoang for being part of our family and our lives. Your life had a significant impact on us, especially on me. You taught me how to code which led me to my current career path. You taught how to train my mind through practice and repetition to get better at golf, pickleball, and any skill that I'm trying to learn.
