Homero Iniestra, beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, was born on May 18, 1972, in the small town of Ajuchitlán del Progreso in Guerrero, Mexico. He passed away on August 9, 2026, in Garden Grove, California, leaving behind a lifetime of memories and a family who loved him deeply.

Homero grew up in California and attended Franklin Elementary School, Lathrop Middle School, and Santa Ana High School. He became CompTIA certified through the Garden Grove Unified School District and later worked as a machine operator for Behr Corporation, where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic.

Homero shared more than 20 years with his beloved wife, Maribel Quiroga. Their love story began in August of 2005 at an event where Homero asked Maribel to dance. She declined at first, but Homero was determined and, after much persistence, she finally accepted. From that moment on, the rest was history. Together, they built a life centered around love, family, and devotion to one another.

Homero was a proud father to his three children, Briana, Matthew, and Eddie, and a loving grandfather to his granddaughter, Analí. He was passionate about making sure his children received a good education and worked hard to provide them with opportunities for a bright future. Being a provider was an important part of who Homero was, and he took great pride in taking care of his family. He absolutely loved all of his family and wanted nothing more than to see them happy and successful.

Homero was a man of many distinct qualities. He was determined, stubborn, traditional, and protective. He was very detail-oriented and wanted to make sure that he and his family were always presentable. He was a true homebody who enjoyed being at home, where he found comfort in the simple things. He loved watching American football, and his favorite team was the Las Vegas Raiders. When he wasn't watching the Raiders, he spent much of his time cleaning, watering his plants, and enjoying time with his family.

Homero also had a love for music, especially mariachi and funk. He enjoyed listening to music and, even more so, dancing to it. Although he would probably be the first to admit that he wasn't the best dancer, that never stopped him from enjoying himself. He had a special dance move involving his right leg that became uniquely his own. Whenever he broke out that move, it was sure to make everyone cheer and laugh. Those moments captured Homero's fun-loving side and created memories his family will cherish forever.

Homero's love was often shown through the things he did rather than the things he said. He worked hard, cared deeply, protected the people he loved, and made sure his family had what they needed. His determination, traditional values, and devotion to his family were a reflection of the man he was.

Homero was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Antonio and Anicasia Iniestra, and his maternal grandparents, Indifonso Lopez and Maria Chamu Vega.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Maribel Quiroga; his daughter, Briana; his sons, Matthew and Eddie; his granddaughter, Analí; his parents, Elia and Manuel Iniestra; and his siblings, Mercy, Manuel, Cesar, and Freddie.

Homero will be deeply missed by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on through his children, his granddaughter, his family, and the many lives he touched. His love, dedication, and devotion to his family will remain a lasting part of the legacy he leaves behind.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 6:30 p.m., at Westminster Memorial Park Main Chapel.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Pillar Church in Santa Ana, California. A graveside service will follow at Westminster Memorial Park, Garden of Paradise.

Tenía un movimiento especial de baile que hacía con su pierna derecha y que se convirtió en algo muy característico de él. Cada vez que hacía ese movimiento, seguramente hacía que todos a su alrededor aplaudieran, gritaran y se rieran. Esos momentos mostraban el lado divertido y alegre de Homero y crearon recuerdos que su familia atesorará para siempre.

El amor de Homero se demostraba muchas veces a través de lo que hacía, más que de lo que decía. Trabajaba arduamente, se preocupaba profundamente por los demás, protegía a las personas que amaba y se aseguraba de que a su familia no le faltara nada. Su determinación, sus valores tradicionales y su devoción por su familia eran un reflejo del hombre que fue.

Su memoria vivirá a través de sus hijos, su nieta, su familia y las muchas vidas que tocó. Su amor, dedicación y devoción por su familia permanecerán como una parte duradera del legado que deja atrás.

Se llevará a cabo una velación el jueves 3 de Septiembre de 2026, de 5:00 p.m. a 9:00 p.m., con un Rosario a las 6:30 p.m., en Westminster Memorial Park Main Chapel.

Los servicios funerarios se llevarán a cabo el viernes 4 de Septiembre de 2026, a las 9:00 a.m., en Our Lady of the Pillar Church en Santa Ana, California. Después del servicio se llevará a cabo el sepelio en Westminster Memorial Park, Garden of Paradise.
