Born on December 29, 1981, in Fountain Valley, California, Ivan was a creative and passionate soul who touched the lives of many with his vibrant spirit, artistic talents, and love for technology. He earned his Associate’s Degree in Multimedia and Graphic Animation, a reflection of his deep passion for visual arts and digital creativity.
Ivan met the love of his life, Leeanne Marquez, when they were teenagers in Webster Groves, Missouri — she was 16 and he was 18. Their love story would grow into a strong and enduring partnership. Together, they built a beautiful life and welcomed their cherished son, Isaac Marquez, born on June 11, 2012, who was the light of Ivan’s life.
Professionally, Ivan dedicated himself to helping others through his work with companies such as Nextel, Sprint, Asurion, and Extra Space Storage. His colleagues and friends will remember him for his dedication, kindness, and technical expertise.
A true lover of all things tech — especially Apple products — Ivan was known for his enthusiasm for innovation. He also had a deep love for music, particularly hip hop and rap, and was gifted in artistic expression and creative thinking.
Ivan was preceded in death by his brother Ismael Marquez, Jr., his stepmother Juanita Marquez, and his stepfather Raymond Johnsen.
He is survived by his loving wife, Leeanne Marquez, and their son, Isaac; his father Ismael Marquez; his mother Grace Johnson; his sister Vanessa Johnson; his brother Alex Villarreal; and his sister Lisette Lopez.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Westminster Memorial Park Lakeside Chapel, with a Rosary at 4:00 PM.
Funeral services will take place on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of the Pillar Church in Santa Ana. Interment will follow at Westminster Memorial Park in the Garden of Reflections.
Ivan will be remembered for his kind heart, his creative spirit, and the love he gave so freely to his family and friends. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and inspiration.
