Jacqueline Pha Davis

Jackie Davis was born on a farm in Gettysburg, South Dakota on Feb. 23, 1935. After battling cancer which was in remission for 11 years, but unfortunately it returned last month, and she passed away at Downey Regional Hospital on Nov. 10, 2011. After graduation from South Dakota State University Jackie moved to California and taught at Downey Senior High School for 34 years. She was the center of our family gatherings; always planning the celebration and making our favorite family dishes. She was fun, vibrant and full of life. She was an integral part of the "Seniorettes," a group of longtime friends who get together monthly for a poker party, go out for lunch, celebrate birthdays and attend Broadway plays. The pain of our loss will be replaced by our fond memories of our lives we shared with Jackie. She is survived by her family and many friends who love and will miss her. A memorial service will be held at noon on Friday, November 25, 2011 at the United Methodist Church, 17241 Main St. in Garden Grove, Ca. A burial service is planned for Saturday, November 26, at 2:15 at Westminster Memorial Park. Donations can be made in her honor to the Cancer Society. Aunt Jackie will be forever in our hearts.
