It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joan Patricia Manes on October 28, 2012. Joan was born to James and Helen Embrey on March 23, 1937 in Washington D.C. The family moved to Long Beach, CA where she was raised along with two sisters and one brother, Joyce, Jimmy and Sally. She graduated from Poly High School. Joan then met and married the love of her life Ralph Henley Manes on October 29, 1955. From this Union came 4 children: Cynthia Jo, Steven Ralph, Brenda Jo, and Donna Jo. She had resided in Westminster, CA for the past 56 years. Survived by her beloved husband Ralph, her remaining 3 children, Steven, Brenda and Donna, her siblings Joyce and Sally, 17 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was truly a friend to all, loved by many and will be sadly missed. There will be a viewing held at Westminster Memorial Park Chapel on Sunday, November 4, 3023 from 5:00 - 7:00pm. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday November 5, 2012 at 2:30pm at Westminster Memorial Park Mortuary at 14801 Beach Blvd., Westminster, CA 92683. (714) 893-2421.
