I recently learned of your passing and my heart has been sad since. Although we lost touch over the years, I have often thought of our time together at Dale JHS. You are a beautiful soul and I feel lucky to have known you.  My thoughts with your family and your children.

I will never forget all the times we enjoyed playing together as children at our granparents house. I miss you very much and you will always live in my heart. I love you!

Joanna, I just don't understand how this can be true. I have soo many emotions that all lead to my heart hurting that you are not here anymore. :( I just want to see your face one more time, go to soak city with the kids and lock those memories in, give you one last hug and tell you how much you and your family mean to me and mine, tell you I love you and wouldn't be where I'm at in life if you hadn't been there to save me at my darkest time. Your spirit just made the world brighter for me and my family. I can't express how much your friendship meant to me and still means to me. I'm saddened we won't be old red hatters together! I'm saddened cause I wasn't able to be there for you when you were in pain and fix you like you fixed me. I want to tell you how proud I am of who you've become, how strong you are, amazingly kindhearted and how unreplaceable you are as a friend! My children loved you because of the unconditional love and support you gave them...Joanna there just isn't a comparison to your friendship.  I hope your paradise is just amazing! I love you Joanna and you're missed beyond words! Till we meet again my dear friend.

From the short time that I got to know you, I got to know how proud you were  of those two kids.  I can see it in your eyes when you talked about them.  Having small children of my own, your passing has  made me reflect more deeply as to what is really important in life.  

It was an honor to have taken part in hiring you at Boeing and and a true honor to have known you these past few years.  We will miss your infectious smile, candor and passion for life.

We were neighbors and friends.  What impressed me about you most, mother to mother, is you put your children, and others' children first.  You may not even know how much you touched others' lives, but you did.  Our son Sean saw that in you as only kids can.  To friends and family that may not have seen Joanna frequently, be assured that she has shaped the lives of Eli, Lily and Curtis in a way that will shape their lives forever in a positive way. They are and will become the people you always knew they could be...because of you. We will keep you in our hearts forever.

Joanna,  most of my memories are of you as a baby and small child.  I still remember your little giggle and sweet smile, always so happy.  You were my daughters playmate and a joy to us all. You came back into our lives in March and I am so grateful to have heard your laughter, see that sweet smile, and get to know the beautiful young woman you became.

I was reading what others had to say about there experience with you and was comforted to know you were so loved.  I hope your family is able to get some comfort from that also.  My heart is broken for Tammy, Cheryl, Curtis, Lili, Eli, and the whole family.  I send you all my love and prayers,  there are just no words....

It was such a pleasure getting to know and work with you these past couple years.  You were always so kind and gracious - always the first to offer to help the party crew with clean up duties.  You were truly a beautiful person inside and out.  I will miss your smiling face every day.  My prayers are with you and your family.

Joanna, you shared your loving, caring spirit with all your family and we were all blessed because of it. It will be hard for us to get from broken hearts to happy memories. Jo, I cant even begin to describe how much my heart is hurting. You have been my best friend since 3rd grade. All of the sleep overs, walks to the bus stop, lunches, birthdays, and so much more I will cherish. It didnt matter how much time had passed we always picked up where we left off. There was never a dull moment with you always bringing a smile to everyones face. You were an amazing friend, daughter, mother, fiance, & so much more. Beautiful inside and out. I only knew you for a brief time, as you brought the kids to Vacation Bible School, at Garden Grove Church of the Nazarene. It was a joy to be their teacher for the week. I will be praying for them as they adjust to this very difficult time in their young lives.

  It's so unfortunate that we lost touch after high school. It makes me sad that we only saw each other a few times within the last couple years, but when we did see each other it was like we were back in high school again. You still treated me like we had just saw each other. You were always supportive of my relationships and always asked me how they were going and genially cared at my responses. I will miss you Jo. JoAnna, I have been struggling with your passing for the last week.  As a big Sister I had seen all her friends pretty frequently over our house growing up.  You stuck out in my head because how you evolved, and grew up in such a short time.  But I  have seen all you girls grow up, and turn into some pretty amazing individuals. One thing that stuck out the most is what a amazing Mother you are. Also,  whenever my Niece had a birthday you were there with Lily always. That truly meant the world to the Mclaughlin's.  Even when you and Holly had not seen each other for awhile, it would be like it was yesterday that you two had seen each other. You always seemed to support my Sister, and never judged her.  A lot of people turned their backs on my Sister, but not you.  That is hard to come by, and I know how crazy my little Sister was.   I promise to JoAnna, to always tell the ones that are closest to me, I Love You everyday.  That is my promise to you sweetie, because I know that you were taken to early.  Fly high in heaven God's newest Angel.  We will see you on the other side one day. God Bless <3

Joanna you were a very special young lady and am sad to let you go. You know how much you were loved by everyone, especially our family. The Camez's were always happy to have you and Curtis and the family over when you were there. Your smile and laughter will never be forgotten and I wanted to let you know that you will always hold a special place in my heart. I got to see you grow up and mature as a young mother and woman through with the girls from your HS with my sister and know that you truly lived your life with as much compassion and love as God intended you too. Lili was lucky to have you as a mother and I'm sure she will feel her new Guardian Angel around at all times. Thank you for all the wonderful memories you brought in my life and for the welcoming and open arms you always had for Raw and I. I've always felt so comfortable being myself in your presence knowing you were a genuine and honest, easy-going person with great intentions.

My beautiful friend JoAnna, I want to start by saying I'm sorry we had lost time we used to be very close friends and I should of never let life make me lose sight of that you ment so much to me and always will we had great memories I will forever cherish. It's hard to fathom and accept why this has happened to such a beautiful, loving, young woman with the world at her fingertips. I have looked up to and admired your patience and unconditional love and top priority for your family. I will continue to follow your advice with my own. Heaven has been blessed with an angel. Beautiful young Joanna, you will be missed by many.  As a child, we were blessed to have you in our lives.  You were a pleasure to have around with us on camping trips, days of hiking, and enjoying the pool when you were across the street from us. You kept up with us adults like a champ and always brought smiles and laughter to our days. There was a special moment in our lives, that touched our hearts greatly.  When you were 9 years old, on our wedding day, you stood up and spoke these words:  'I just want to say..Happy Wedding Day.  Yvonne and Rhonda are like Aunts to me, because they are really good friends to our family and I wish them the best of luck'. We are proud you felt that for us.  Although we lost contact for some years, you were in our thoughts and we always heard updates of how you were. This past March, we were very thankful and fortunate to have had the opportunity and joy of reuniting with you and your young family and what a beautiful family it is.  May God bless them and be with them, and the rest of your family.  You will be missed and always be in our hearts. We are proud and will forever be “Like your Aunts”.
