Jorge grew up in Downey, California, where he attended local schools from elementary through Downey High School. He later built a career as a dispatcher for a trucking company, a role in which he worked hard to provide for his family.
As complicated as he could be, those who knew Jorge best remember his deep love and commitment to his family. He would do anything for his children, always sacrificing to protect them and make sure they were cared for. His devotion was the foundation of his life.
Beyond his work and family, Jorge found joy in his passions. He loved working on old cars, especially his dream project—a Porsche 914. He also loved the freedom of riding mini bikes and go-carts, spending time in the open air, and embracing life with a sense of fun and adventure.
Jorge was preceded in death by his father, Jorge Alberto Lorenzo, and his daughter, Marrissa Lorenzo. He is survived by his mother, Irma Capaleni; his brother, Jean Carlo Lorenzo; his eldest son, Darrek Lorenzo; and his youngest son, Dylan Lorenzo.
A visitation for Jorge will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Carolina Chapel at Westminster Memorial Park. A service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the same chapel, where all services will conclude.
Jorge will be remembered for his hard-working spirit, his fierce love for his family, and the way he always sought freedom—whether behind the wheel of a car, on a mini bike, or in the life he built for those he loved.
