I did not know this was here.  So I will leave a message.  I was Joy's manicurist many years ago.  We became friends even after I left the business.   She was beautiful....inside and out.   She married Paul Nishiwaki and she got on with her life and we  occasionally connected.  After a few years of not seeing here my wife and I got reacquainted  with her and Paul about 2 years before her passing.   Joy was an angel.  It was like the old days.  Her warm and sincere smile and laugh was something to see.   She was always cheerful, always positive, ALWAYS...positive.  Thats who she was.  Always thinking of what she can do to make life better for others.   She was a great mother with two son's.....Christopher and Timothy.   It's been almost a year since her passing.   I have a photo of her and cry a bit when I look at it.   I still have her last text.  She found the time to say goodbye.  I read that a lot.  Thats how amazing she was.   It was about others first.   Do to Covid could not see her before she passed.   Life can be cruel.   But I am sure Joy would thank me for remembering her....and she would tell us to keep going and enjoy our life until is our turn.    I love you Joy!   Will never forget you!!    wg.

Joy was filled with so much love and happiness. I enjoyed working with her and helping her exit the district. She was an inspiration and treated me so kindly and thoughtfully. She will be missed. 

I met Joy my first day at my new job. She was this kind, warm, sweet soul who took me under her wing and “showed me around town.”  We quickly went from coworkers to friends. She was always willing to help everyone  and do whatever she could to help our special students.     She was always there to lend a listening ear and share a good laugh with. I will always cherish our friendship. 

Joy and I had our boys a month apart. We took Matthew and Christopher everywhere together. We went to Mommy & Me classes, swim lessons, soccer, ice skating etc. and had passes to Legoland. I really enjoyed that time period and was sad when my family moved to Kansas City and we didnt get to spend time together.
 I got to see Joy last summer when she visited Branson with her family. It was like we had spent no time apart.  We had a great visit and got to catch up. 
Joy was always so happy and ready to go do something! I loved spending time with her and was looking forward to many more years of friendship.  I am so sorry she got sick. I will miss her very much and I know her family and friends will as well.
