Kenneth John Conner, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on April 6, 2026, in Westminster, California, at the age of 87. He was born on November 16, 1938, in Lexington, Nebraska, where he developed the strong values and enduring spirit he carried throughout his life.
Kenneth attended Kearney State Teachers College, where he earned his associate degree and began building the foundation for a successful and fulfilling career. He worked as a salesman for Eastman Office Supplies before pursuing his entrepreneurial spirit and founding his own business, Specialty-Solutions.
He shared a loving marriage with his wife, Judy Conner, whom he met at a Disneyland employee party—a chance meeting that blossomed into a lifelong partnership filled with love, laughter, and adventure. In 1977, Kenneth fulfilled a lifelong dream by purchasing a home at the beach in California, where he and Judy built a beautiful life together and remained ever since.
Though he made California his home, Kenneth never lost touch with his Nebraska roots. He proudly considered himself a “farm-boy” at heart, carrying with him a deep appreciation for hard work, humility, and the simple joys of life. He surprised many when he made the move from Nebraska to California—a bold step that reflected both his independent spirit and willingness to embrace new adventures.
Kenneth was known for his adventurous spirit and zest for living. He loved to travel, fly, and always preferred taking the scenic route. He found joy in music, dancing, and playing the harmonica with friends. Even at 80 years old, he demonstrated his fearless nature by skydiving—an experience that perfectly reflected his bold and spirited personality. He also cherished time with his fellow Met Club enthusiasts.
At home, Kenneth found happiness in the simple pleasures—enjoying vanilla ice cream, spending time with his beloved dog Ollie, and being surrounded by family. He was loyal and loving, deeply committed to those he cared about, and always placed family at the center of his life.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Sarah Conner.
He is survived by his loving wife, Judy Conner; his daughters, Wendy Conner and Erin Conner-Wright; his sister, Marianne Schlueter; his sons-in-law, Paul Wright and Preston Addison; and his cherished grandchildren, Rowan Addison, Finn Addison, Noah Wright, and Keeley Wright.
Kenneth will be remembered for his warmth, his sense of adventure, and the strength he brought to all who knew him. His legacy lives on in the family he loved so deeply and the many lives he touched.
The family will be holding a private celebration of life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kenneth’s name to any local veteran's association.
