I loved this man. He was my band director at Huntington High from 1960 thru the school year of 1962. My Sister played clarinet and I played Souzaphone. We were in his Concert band and orchestra. Played at all the football games and special occasions. Mr Woesner was the best ever teacher and director I’ve ever had the pleasure of being part of his ensemble. May his kind soul rest in peace. I’ll miss him forever.

Band student from 1977-1980. Some of the best times of my life and Mr Woesner was a key part of my growth during that time. I recall he would have preferred a few less toilet papering events on his home - always done in playful respect. He touched many lives in a most positive way.

I was a student of his from 1969 until 1971. I always enjoyed being in his band(s), and he seemed to like having me as a student. I called him on the telephone a few years ago, and we had a nice chat. After talking for a few minutes, during which I addressed him several times as "Mister Woesner," he asked, "How old are you now, Ed?"

I replied, "I'm sixty-five years old."

He then said, "Ed, I think that, at this point, you can call me, 'Ken'!"

He was a good man with many interests, and he will be missed by many.
