Kevin graduated from North Miami High School in Denver, Indiana, and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership and Supervision, with a minor in Family Business, from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.
After graduating from Purdue, Kevin moved to California, where he began his career working for various packaging companies. In recent years, he fulfilled a lifelong dream by owning and operating Brinker Industries. Building and growing his own business was a source of great pride for Kevin and reflected his entrepreneurial spirit, determination, and hardworking nature.
Kevin met the love of his life, Elizabeth Sandra Thomson, through eHarmony in March 2009. After just four months, they became engaged and were married on April 17, 2010.
This past April, Kevin and Liz celebrated 16 years of marriage. Their love and commitment to one another were at the heart of their family.
Together, Kevin and Liz were blessed with two beautiful children, Joseph Michael “Joey” Brinker, born April 10, 2013, and Julia Noelle Brinker, born April 12, 2016. Kevin cherished his role as a husband and father and will always be remembered for the love, devotion, and care he poured into his family.
Kevin was a faithful Christian and served as a shepherding elder at Mariners Church in Huntington Beach. His faith was an important part of who he was, and he sought to live it out by caring for and serving those around him. He also devoted his time to his son Joey’s Scouting journey, serving as a leader in Cub Scouts Pack 88 and Boy Scouts Troop 120.
Kevin had a remarkable gift for making people feel welcomed and cared for. He was always eager to help others and loved to shower his family, friends, and those around him with love and hospitality. He was loyal, dedicated, hardworking, kind, and generous with his time and his heart.
Kevin enjoyed many things in life, including cooking, movies, television shows, camping, traveling to new places, and, most of all, spending time with friends and family. Whether gathered around a meal, enjoying an adventure, or simply spending time together, Kevin treasured the people he loved.
Kevin was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Brinker.
