Larry Laron Dorn

He was preceded in death by parents Vernon and Lola Elaine, grandma Bertha Dorn, grandparents Gladys and Harold Brown, and great-grandma Eldora Brown, along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Born in Hendricks, Minnesota, June 8, 1949, to Vernon and Lola Elaine Dorn, Larry worked in retail for 20-some years with Gambles, Tempo, Shopko, Fedmart and Zodys. He went to college for electronics and worked for Digital Networks for over 17 years. Larry retired from work 9 years ago when diagnosed with MS.

He enjoyed spending time tending to his beautiful garden and loved sitting in his back patio watching all the hummingbirds enjoy his beautiful flowers. Additionally, he loved playing with his boys and grandchildren, watching western movies, and playing cards with anyone willing to sit down with him. He also enjoyed fishing and camping in California, and spending time at the lakes with family and friends in Minnesota. Larry always opened his home and heart to family and friends who are always welcome.

Larry is survived by his wife Nancy of 37 years; his son Jesse and wife Ashley and granddaughter Bella; his son Todd and wife Brianna; his son Dustin; his son Joshua and his wife Kim and grandson Lucas; and brothers and sisters Wanda, Sharen, Gerry, Carey Lynn, Roxanne, Bruce, Lynette and Shawn.

The funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm January 2, 2013 at Westminster Memorial Park. His wishes were for his ashes to be spread at sea so that all who knew and loved him could think of him whenever by water.
