Lewis Wayne Hogue

Lewis was born to the late Lewis Thomas and Edna Hogue on September 08, 1931 in Holdenville, OK. He graduated from Moss High School as class valedictorian in 1949 and finished Draughons Business School in Tulsa, OK for accounting in June 1950. Lewis married his high school sweetheart Betty Jo Roberts on July 8, 1951.

Lewis served the United States Air Force from August 1950 to 1954. In August 1954 Lewis started at Douglas Aircraft Co and remained there through multiple mergers until his retirement as an aviation electronics engineer from Boeing in June 1993.

Throughout Lewis’s life he was an avid airplane enthusiast. He also was a collector of stamps and a skilled woodworker.

Lewis is survived by his wife and two children: Betty Jo Hogue of Huntington Beach, CA; David Hogue of San Antonio, TX; Deborah Hogue of Saratoga, CA. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren Travis, Stasha and Chandon Hogue. He was preceded in death by 2 children, Denice and Daniel Hogue.

Lewis was a beloved husband, father and grandfather who was deeply loved in life and will be greatly missed.

A viewing will be from 1-4 pm on Saturday November 8, 2014 and the funeral will be at noon on Sunday November 9, 2014. Both events are to be held at Westminster Memorial Park in Westminster CA.
