Marlene Chicoine, a pillar of faith and family, passed away peacefully at the age of 91, leaving behind a legacy of love, service, and unwavering dedication to those she held dear.
Born in 1933, Marlene's life was defined by her boundless compassion and steadfast commitment to her family and community. As the matriarch of a large and loving family, she nurtured generations with wisdom, patience, and an ever-present warmth that made everyone feel special in her presence.
Marlene's devotion to protecting children was evident throughout her life. She advocated tirelessly for the safety and wellbeing of the youngest members of the world, volunteering countless hours to programs that supported vulnerable youth. Her gentle guidance and fierce protection made her a trusted guardian to many beyond her own family circle.
At her church, Marlene was a respected leader whose faith informed every aspect of her life. She served in numerous capacities over the decades, from teaching to organizing community outreach initiatives. Her spiritual strength was a beacon that guided many through difficult times, and her humble leadership inspired others to serve with the same dedication and grace that she embodied.
Marlene is survived by her extensive family, including her husband, Pierre Chicoine. Her children Martin Brunolt, Elaine Jensen, Lois Krier, Dory Brunolt and Crystal Coats. She has multitudes of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, all of whom were blessed to have her influence in their lives. Family gatherings at her home were legendary, filled with laughter, delicious food, and the kind of unconditional love that only she could provide.
Those who knew Marlene will remember her for her loving nature, her kindness, and the way she made everyone feel like they belonged. She was always there for those who needed comfort.
Funeral services will be held at Westminster Memorial Park on 3/10/25 at 9:30 am, with a reception to follow.
Marlene's family finds solace in knowing that her legacy of faith, family, and service will continue through the many lives she touched. As she often said, "Love Wins," words that will continue to guide those who loved her for generations to come.
