Mike was born in Los Alamitos, California. He was raised and lived the majority of his life in Southern California. He loved body boarding and spending time at the beach. As a natural athlete he excelled in baseball, he loved it and played from a young boy in little league until high school. After 9/11 Mike was inspired to join the Army. He completed rigorous training to become an infantryman earning several certificates of merit. His time served was one of Mike’s true honored achievements.
From childhood into adulthood, he found coloring relaxing and often gifted his family the pictures he colored. He enjoyed fishing with his friends in local spots as well as immersing himself in video games. There was not a sport he didn’t enjoy watching and could best the best in trivia stats from college teams to the pros. There was nothing Mike liked better than having an interesting conversation with a good friend. He never met a stranger he didn’t like and could spark up a conversation with anyone. He was extremely loyal to his family and those he called friends. No matter what, he was always just a phone call away ready to show up when needed. He would literally give his last dollar or the shirt off his back to a friend in need. And he never forgot to call his mom or siblings on their birthdays to sing them a song.
Mike met his true love, Molly, in high school and they spent their lives together until the tragic passing of Molly in 2016. After losing Molly, Mike, unfortunately, chose a difficult path in life. In spite of everything, he remained loved by his family. Mike always saw the good and potential in others but he had a hard time seeing it in himself. He was smart, sarcastic, and witty. He was loving and stubborn and so very charismatic. Mike is survived by his loving mother, his siblings, and their families as well as his aunts, uncles, and cousins. Mike is now at peace.
