I got to see Morgan become enmeshed in his craft. From the point of view of a fellow roof framer I knew he was born for it. I knew what it meant and where he was going. It is a rare person that has the patience, intelligence and boldness to learn the trade that he did. It meant tracking down the professionals in it. It meant asking the right questions, and studying with little or no compensation for the months it took to learn it and to market himself. And after all that the assembly itself is often done as though in a war zone where it is hard to concentrate on both the physical and mental aspect of the work at the same time. It can be extremely dangerous. I for one was impressed by his dedication and commitment because I had done the same thing 20 years previously and knew what it meant. It meant he was going to be a force and resource in our particular field where there are so few nowadays. 
  I cannot believe his life was cut so short. It’s hard to accept.
