Anna Marie and family. So sorry to learn of Nelson's passing. Today's tragic event in San Bernadino County prompted me to search the web for you only to read Nelson's obit.With the passing of my father Robert and Nelson's mother Carolyn, the families seem to have lost touch. My wife Katherine and I now live in Baltimore. My sister Peggy McKnight and husband, Steve still live in Pittsburgh. Again so sad to hear about Nelson. Please  pass long our best wishes to Janis and Roger.

I was saddened to learn of the passing of Nelson.  I had the privilege and honor of working with Nelson for many years at Kaiser.  Nelson's work ethic always inspired me to try and do better.  His willingness to share his great knowledge with those around him made us all better at our jobs.  He will always be remembered by me as the lab's resident professor of lab practices as well as just everyday life activities. My deepest sympathy to the Julian family  because we have lost a great dad, husband, family member and friend much too soon.

What I remember Nelson the most was every work get together at a resturant...him and Brenda's husband Walter would always be together at another table..yelling for me to explain my truck driving to Nelson...I think he really wanted to try driving at WSD food service!

Anna, and family, I happened upon this sad news today.  I remember our years of friendship and treasure them, greatly.  I have never understood why we fell out of touch but my affection for and gratitude for Nelson and his parents is huge...they helped keep me sane. Uncle Nelson : I have been blessed to have had you in my life! When I visited you always opened the door wide open, gave me a huge hug and said so glad to have you, stay as long as you like. You always taught me so many new things during or visits, but most of all, I remember so much laughter and love! Now you are with the angels and they are so blessed for the laughter and love that you will bring them! I love you and miss you already!

Over the years Nelson has brought all of our families together for Thanksgiving dinner in his home. We all agree that he made the best stuffing. We will cherish all the holidays we shared together.
