Sentiments and condolences are for the living and for that I wish to extend to Aunt Francis, Uncle Elmer, Betty, Nick's entire family and all those who knew and loved him, my sincere condolence. Nick was a big part of my youth and I will miss him. Nick served his country and was a good Father. What more can a man accomplish in one's life than that?

 Cousin Nicky was the first male cousin that joined us in California from New Jersey.  He was always smiling and had a great sense of humor.  He loved the family and was a very good brother to his sisters,

Nick went to the same high school as my brother and I and played on the bee football team because of his size.  We watched him play and marveled at his competitiveness.  He liked and played all sports; basketball, football and baseball.

I remember when Nick was still in New Jersey and his mom sent a picture of Nick in his Brooklyn Dodgers jersey and cap.  We all commented that he was the only one in the family that wasn't a Yankee fan.  He was ecstatic about moving to California to be close to his beloved Dodgers.

I wished I could have attended the funeral to pay my respects because he was my closest cousin.  I know that he will be missed by all that loved him, and my condolences go out to all the family.  He will no doubt be in the presence of our Lord.

Nick Perone was my cousin. I'm sorry I didn't attend his ceremony. I found out about it after it was over. 
I remember Nick as a good person. He loved Baseball. One trip back to New Jersey, where his family lived at that time, Nick introduced me to the game of baseball. He was 10, I was 11.
I remember playing everyday in a vacant lot close to his home. You could tell by the way he played, he loved the game. We played every chance we could until it became too dark to see. The lady that owned the left field fence, which was her back yard fence came out of the house to retrieve any ball that was hit into her yard. but when we started to hit the ball on top of her roof, she asked us to quit playing in that lot because we were ruining her roof. At the beginning of the summer, we could not even hit the fence. 
I would like to give my condolences to the family and say "Hello" to Aunt Francis, you were a loving mother and a great aunt to me and my brother Vince.
