Pedro “Pete” Corotan, 83, died May 26, 2012 at the Kaiser Hospital in Anaheim, California. He was born in Hoea, Kohala , Island of Hawaii on September 9, 1929, to Saturnino and Sabina Corotan. He worked as a Groundsman for the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel and cane truck driver for the Kohala and Papaikou Sugar Plantations. Pedro is survived by brother Erinuo (Evelyn) Corotan, children Alton (Carolee), Clayton (Ann), Stanton (Linda), Keoki (Susan) Corotan, and Dawnell (Phillips) Ieremia; 21 grandchildren, 29 great grand-children and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 11:30am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kohala Ward Chapel in Hawi. Friends and family may visit from 9am – 11:00am. Burial to follow at Hawi County Cemetery. Casual attire. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.
