

Born on January 10, 1932, in Taishan, Guangdong, China, Dr. Lee pursued his medical education at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine degree. His career as a vascular and general surgeon was marked by a deep commitment to excellence, innovation, and compassionate patient care.
On May 4, 1969, he married Anita T. Lee, D.D.S., beginning a partnership of over five decades grounded in mutual respect and unwavering love. Together, they built a family rooted in learning, service, and integrity.
Dr. Lee is survived by his beloved wife, Anita; his children, James T. Lee, M.D., Jansen T. Lee, D.D.S., and Jivianne T. Lee, M.D.; his daughter-in-law Chi H. Lee, M.D.; and son-in-law Kenneth S. Jung, M.D. He also leaves behind three cherished grandchildren: Kara A. Lee, Miriya A. Jung, and Ethan J. Lee.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Yong Lee and Shee Wong.
A man of quiet strength and inventive spirit, Pedro James Lee was known for his creativity, ingenuity, and gentle demeanor. He embraced life with curiosity and warmth, always eager to explore new cultures through his passions for art, music, cooking, and travel. To know him was to witness a life lived with a true zest for life.
A visitation will be held on May 30, 2025, from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM at St. Bonaventure Church, Huntington Beach, California. Funeral services will be held on May 31, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the same location, with a graveside service to follow at Westminster Memorial Park in the Garden of Reflections.
Dr. Lee’s legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the family he loved, and the many patients he healed. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
