Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1927, Peggy started her life shortly before the start of the Great Depression. Although hardships came her way from an early age, Peggy had a perfect blend of an optimistic and realistic outlook on life.
She attended Withrow High School and enjoyed History, Homemaking, and Glee Club. She attended the University of Cincinnati for one semester where she met the love of her life, Lowell Stuart Carter. They married September 20, 1947 and welcomed a beautiful baby girl in 1949.
Peggy, with her family, moved to California in 1950 and by 1960, had welcomed 4 more children, and sadly lost one daughter. While raising her children, she moved several times from Long Beach to Anaheim Hills, and everywhere in between.
She always played an active role, not only in her children’s lives, but in the lives of her nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was an active member in Opti-Mrs., loved reading, arts and crafts, and decorating for the holidays. Her house was always open and she instilled a love for family and tradition in every one she touched.
