

Philomene "Billie" Anderson passed away on March 20, 2012—just two months after her 100th birthday. She was born in Portland, Oregon on January 18, 1912. As a young child, her family moved to California. They settled in Long Beach where she attended school and met her beloved husband, Alton; they were married for 64 years. She and her husband started the family business, Acme Art & Mirror in 1944. In 1946, they renamed the business Acme Glass & Mirror Co. She enjoyed running the glass shop and assisting the customers until she was almost 93 years old. She became a Jehovah’s Witness as a young adult and shared the truth throughout her lifetime.
She is survived by her daughter, Maureen (Bruce) Randa; grandson, Michael (Amber) Stephenson; three great-granddaughters, Jolie (Steve) Carroll, Janelle (Travis) Schlotterbeck, and Coree Stephenson; three great-great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Dash, and Alex; nieces Melanie (Merlin) Witt and Suzy Maiden; and nephew Bob (Becky) Maiden Jr. Her husband, Alton Anderson, and her brother, Robert Maiden, preceded her in death. She is loved very much and will be missed greatly by her family and friends.
A visitation will take place on Thursday, March 29, 2012 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm with a graveside service to follow at 2:15 pm at Westminster Memorial Park. A Memorial Reception will be held after the service at the Cypress Courtyard Marriott, 5865 Katella Avenue, Cypress, CA 90630, 714-827-1010.
