Bob & Marilyn love you and will surely miss you!  You have gone to be with our Lord and Savior much too soon, but God must have a plan for you.  You are a wonderful father, uncle, brother and friend.  Please hold a place for us in heaven so we are able to join you someday.

Richard my dear friend, I'm missing those good times already. It was such a joy to be with you and Susie at Joe's Garage. We had such a great time!! You were the one that turned us on the PG stock that we made a little bit of cash.You were 100% right when you told Ken and I the stock was going to go $100 and then split. Where are you when I need some more good advice. I hope you a Mayard are enjoying your time together, just do me a favor and drill a hole and pull me through when my time comes. Miss you tons!! Dad, I am celebrating your new freedom from the terrible suffering you endured. I praise Our Father and Lord Jesus for calling you home where you are waiting for your loved ones.But I miss your deeply and yes, I will shed more tears as I grieve the loss of my dad...mostly I delight that your are with many loved ones who waited for you and I know you wait for me. First Christmas in Heaven

Richard Russell was not only a loving husband, son, brother, daddy, grandfather, great grandfather he was also a loving uncle. Growing up with he was not only my uncle, he was a coworker, landlord and a class mate. 
I have so many life story I can tell you about Uncle Dickie such as he always told me that I was his favorite nice, and o who it made me feel so very special, until one day my brother Bobby broke the bad news to me (hay dummy you’re his only nice).  I also had the chance to work with him at Procter and Gamble. Most of the coworker new him as Richard but when I started working at P&G with him I was not able to call him Richard he was uncle Dickie. When it came time to get supplies I would call him uncle Dickie over the PA system so before he knew it the whole department started calling him uncle Dickie. He also made a trip to the Ohio plant and he was introduced as Uncle Dickie by mistake. When Procter and Gamble closed I 1988 Uncle Dickie, my dad and I along with my daughter Corene who was 2 years old at the time went to Long Beach City College for two years. We would get to campus about an hour early and have breakfast and this is when he introduces Corene to Tabaco sauce on her eggs and to use her toast to push he eggs on her fork. I can go on all day and all night with many more stories but I won’t do that now.
Uncle Dickie was a great man as we all now, he taught me a lot of things, and he would take his shirt off his back for anyone. Uncle Dickie is in a better place now. He is in no pain and at home with his mom and dad and many other family and friends and most of all our Lord Jesus Christ!  I will always miss you and I Love you Uncle Dickie..

 You touched so many peoples lives in so many ways that it seems unfair to be taken from us. God has other plans for you that we don't understand.....we will when we are reunited in heaven again! I miss you Dad

My Deepest Condolences to the family. I will miss Richard very much. He was a good friend to my father, thru which I met him. I will miss his reminiscing about old times, about his childhood, etc. Richard was a very knowledgeable man, able to do almost anything. My favorite memory of him was the time I went over to see him, he was polishing his Old Ford. He ask if I had ever ridden in his car. I said no. So he took me for a ride. On Westminser Blvd. right in front of city hall and police dept. he stompt on the gas. Well the Old Ford just shot forword as I was press in my seat. We got back with no incident.
