OBITUARY

Robert Lee Boswell

January 16, 1935August 4, 2019

Robert Lee Boswell “Bob”, 84, passed away peacefully at home on August 4th, 2019. Bob was born on January 16, 1935 in Los Angeles, to William “Doc” and Nancy Boswell. He was a 1953 Huntington Beach grad and went on to play football for the University of Southern California. In 1955 he was wed to Martha Jeanette Kraft. After working for California Electric Service and General Electric; in 1970 he became a small business owner with friend Howard Hawley, in the purchase of Industrial Electric Service. He became sole owner in 1990 and the business flourished under his leadership. Then in 1973 Robert married Olive Jeannine “O.J.” Huff. Bob loved to travel, hunt, fish, play cards watch sports and spend time with his family and friends. Moments with his family and friends meant the world to him....he was a family man extraordinaire! Helping grandkids with their college education and taking the family on trips around world were definitely a legacy he cherished. He was a true super-fan, supporting his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren in all their endeavors. Bob is survived by his 7 children, 9 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. His “Celebration of Life” is scheduled on August 30, 2019 at SeaCliff Country Club in Huntington Beach, at 10:30am.

TO THE FAMILY OF ROBERT "BOB" BOSWELL, I HAVE FOND MEMORIES OF CHATTING WITH BOB AT NUMEROUS CFESA CONFERENCES AND NSC STOCKHOLDER MEETINGS. IT WAS ALWAYS INTERESTING TO FIND THE SAME ISSUES WERE PREVELANT IN CALIFORNIA JUST LIKE IN WISCONSIN. I HAD THE PLEASURE OF MEETING HIS LATE WIFE O.J. A COUPLE TIMES. WHAT A SPECIAL LADY SHE WAS! BOB ALWAYS HAD WELL THOUGHT IDEAS, AND A TEMPERED BALANCE TO WORK THROUGH THE ISSUES WE ALL DEALT WITH IN OUR INDUSTRY. HE WAS TRULY ONE OF THE GREATS. WORDS CANNOT EXPRESS HIS DEDICATION AND CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE FOODSERVICE EQUIPMENT SERVICE AND PARTS INDUSTRY AND CFESA. THANK YOU BOB WE LOVE YOU AND WILL MISS YOU. Bob was the best boss i had ever had. Truly a good,good person!! I remember first going to work for him in Cuday at the old place where Howard and Bob worked. I will always remember that. Lots, and Lots of Fun, especially the xmas partys. Thank You Bob for all you did for me!! Will truly remember and miss you. You are with family and friends now. God bless you and your family.
