Robert was born June 11, 1932, in Providence, Rhode Island, to George Loux, Sr. and Margaret (Pierce) Loux, and was one of eleven children. He attended St. Anthony’s Catholic School, and later, Central High School in Providence, R.I. He served in the United State Navy and his passion for the maritime service would last his entire life.
After his naval service, he married the love of his life, Pauline DeCataldo, of Providence, R.I., on August 30, 1959. They purchased their first and only house in 1963, in Garden Grove, California and still reside there today.
Robert began a long career in the printing press industry, beginning with Pacific Press, in Los Angeles, California where he was employed for over 25 years. He retired in 2002 from Riverside County Publishing Company (RCPC).
Robert is survived by his bride of 65 years and was utterly devoted to her and their four children.
He leaves behind his beloved children: son, Robert M. Loux; daughters, Patricia (Loux) Hains, Diane (Loux) Erickson, Paula (Loux) Landreth, and granddaughter, Vanessa (Erickson) Ramos; sister, Patricia (Loux) Pryor, and brothers, Donald Loux and Dennis Loux, and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation and rosary will be held on January 23, 2024, at 5:30 PM, at Westminster Memorial Park Mortuary, 14801 Beach Blvd, Westminster, California.
Funeral services will be held on January 24, 2024, at 11:00 AM, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 14072 Olive Street, Westminster, California.
A private burial service will take place on January 25, 2024 at Riverside National Cemetery.
