Mr. Fixit made me a bit jealous.  Man could and would literally keep the lights on at our preschool.  My daughter, Allison, would come home singing his praises!  Iris and Mac have been an important part of raising our daughter Allison.  We are always in your debt.  Iris, may you find comfort and peace in difficult times.  You had our back, now we have yours.  Love you!

It just didn't feel right addressing Christmas cards to Robert and Iris McCray.  Mr. Fix It and Miss Iris, it will always be....
When I first met Mr. Fix It at WLPS, I could tell he was so sensitive to what people needed.  He didn't require any details but stepped in if a child needed a laugh or needed to feel special.  Mr. Fix It and Miss Iris made our experience at WLPS ones that will never be forgotten.
Mr. Fix It was the best storyteller I know.  He would come on our fishing trips and his stories of family, hunting and military were always interesting for everyone aboard!  He was so FUN to have around!
Finally, my entire family remembers what a great friend he was to my dad.  He even agreed to speak at my dads funeral.  My dad was a Marine and Mr. Fix It being in the Navy, you can only imagine the banter.  Banter that was presented with such love.
I know Mr. Fix It will be missed by so many!

I have a few memories to share. I remember coming to your house with my Dad and Mom. You guys lived on a very  "steep"  street down by the beach. I was always afraid that our car wouldn't make it up the street,  that the car would roll back down. When my brother, Bob and I came in your house you guys had a "Big" Siamese cat!  Remember, I was probably 7 years old.
Another memory just a few years ago, was having lunch at North Woods with Bob, Eldon (my Dad), Beverly, Tritia and you Iris. You and Beverly were trying to convince Bob and Dad to go on the "Honor Flight" . I'm so glad they went. Two "Best Friends " going to Washington DC, shedding tears and moments of Joy! They were indeed "Best Friends " for over 60+ years! God bless you, Bob . Rest in Peace!

I will miss our conversations most... Thank you
