Ronnie, i salute to you my brother in-law. Take out the word in-law 'cos he's more than a brother to me, i mean the way he treats me and the way i treat him as well. He is a person who's so quiet yet full of "diskarte" in life. I remember the times when we were together when he and my sister doesn't have kids yet, he loves to bring me to those newly opened places like parks, malls and restaurants. Simple moments but the way you are is the hardest thing to forget. Time flies so fast and only GOD knows whose turn is it. But i know HE has other plans that's why you're now with HIM up there. As me and my brother Eddie always talk about when our mother left us just 2 1/2 years ago that she is just around the corner looking upon us. So the same thing, now that you're with Abua ika nga sa dialect nyo dibanger ka lang and you're not totally gone. Continue guiding Bebe, Kirby, E.j., Rap-rap, the whole Cabiltes clan and us the entire Sy family. So in behalf of my brothers Angel, Henry and my sister Lelen here in the Philippines, we will surely miss you and we love you. So long bro! - Peace...

Time, it passes by so quickly. It passes by so swiftly that you tend to lose yourself if you don't pay attention to the little things. As I grew older and got busier, I started to lose sight of the little things that my dad did. He sacrificed so much for what I wanted to do. He was the one that bought my first instrument and supported my passion for music. I remember he always tried so hard to attend all my concerts in middle school and high school. He was always so happy and so proud to see me play. He attempted to support everything that I did. From joining the high school marching band to entering a more competitive and expensive college level drum corps that had me away from home for summer weekends.
 His support did not just end at financially supporting my passion, he also made sure I was able to further my education. He worked so hard and so many hours to be able to pay for my collegiate career. I owe so much for all his hard work and sacrifices.
Apart from his hard working personality, he had the young, fun, and energetic side. The happiest I have seen my dad has always been when we go on family vacations. He always had plans for summer vacations. He was so excited and happy when we spent a weekend in Yosemite for my mom's birthday. Then the year after we went to Canada and he always seemed to have a smile on his face when we went places. He had more plans for vacations. He wanted to go on a cruise, to go to Chicago, and Florida. Even though he isn't physically with us anymore, he would still want my mom, my brothers, and me to go and live it up. 
Even though my dad has been through many of my and my brother's accomplishments, we will dearly miss his physical presence at future accomplishments. Each of our graduations from our respective schools, me from CSUF and graduate school, Ralph from Ocean View and the Navy, Earvin from Nursing School. Despite his physical presence, I know that he is looking down on us with a big smile and saying to God in a very proud voice, “Those are my sons!” 
Time, they say that it heals all wounds. It may take weeks, months, or years, but I will still miss my father's presence. His caring and compassion will be missed by the whole family. I know that he is still watching over us, protecting and guiding. This may sound cheesy, but his legacy does live on through us, his sons. 
Dad, even years from now I will still miss you. I thank you for everything that you have sacrificed for me, for my brothers, and for the family. I love you dearly and I wish that you were still with us.

The untimely demise of Ronnie was a shocking moment to all. When we heard the news, we certainly could not believe. Ronnie is a man who was always available when needed and very approachable to all. He is very polite and kind, he was well loved by everybody; he was such a wonderful person. 
Bea used to say that her Tito Ronnie was a good driver, a never ending story to all. She always reminisced our trip to snowy Mt. Baldy, our very first time which Ronnie had planned. The travel was so enjoyable and unforgettable, not only for us but also to Bea and Eddie. Once-in-a-lifetime event, that we will surely treasure forever. He made lots of jokes in many occasions especially during our family Christmas reunion.   Ronnie touched our lives; he brought us in high spirits as a family. 
In our hearts, he is in heaven now, this is not a time for us to grieve, but it is our time to celebrate his new life with Jesus. We should all be happy that he has finally gone home to Our Creator. 
Goodnight, RONNIE, we will miss you and we will forever continue to cherish and remember you in our hearts and minds for as long as we live. . . .  We love you. . . .  
To our dear Sister Baby, nephew; Kirby, Ej and Raprap, your father Ronnie has been successful in nurturing you as righteous family; continue whatever your father has started, maintain what he has done worthwhile for the family, fulfill his dreams to finish your studies and above all uphold moral relations to your mother and we are certain that he will be the proudest father in heaven.

The news of Tito Ronnie's passing was a great shock to all of us. We are so sad upon hearing this, but happy now because we know He is in Heaven now.... Tito Ronnie is a man of few words but a man of BIG heart. He is a wonderful Tito for us. Thank you Tito for all the good things you've shown us especially when we are in America, you are a true person to all of us.  Bea is so grateful to have meet you, for her, you'll always be her good driver. She will surely miss you. Goodbye Tito Ronnie, we will always treasure all our fond memories together as a family.
