Born September 13, 1943, in Arrowhead, California. Ron grew up in various places in the southern California area. After graduating from high school, he joined the United States Air Force for 4 years. Ron and his first wife, Linda Donvito, had two boys during their 13 year marriage: Paul and Robert. Ron married his second wife, Marilyn Lewis, in 1981 and enjoyed 35 years together while partnering to raise her children, Todd and Tami.
Ron worked at Air Research in El Segundo, California where he worked on the Apollo space missions. He then began his career with Huntington Beach, working in the water department in 1971 and helped usher in various new technologies that benefited the city greatly. He then took on the challenge to become Superintendent of Mesa Consolidated Water District in Costa Mesa, where he worked with various water municipalities in California. He continued to pioneer and lead multiple projects and advancements in this role to ensure safe and dependable water services for this community, while greatly influencing water treatment and planning efforts throughout the state. He later went on to establish his own business, and was at his best when being of service to his many customers.
Ron enjoyed sports, especially football and basketball. He also had a passion for fishing, camping and traveling. Regular road trips led to visits with family in Minnesota and Washington State. He and Marilyn would also take their RV to various places in the nation when they weren't enjoying their place in Big Bear, but the Sierra Nevada mountains were one of their favorite destinations.
Lastly, Ron had a passion for his family and friends. If you needed help Ron would be there for you. Be it a housing project, help with your RV, vehicle, or simply someone to talk to for some friendly advice, Ron was there.
Ron is survived by his wife Marilyn, sons, Paul, Rob, Todd, daughter, Tami, and six grandchildren.
