I just heard about the passing of Shannon. I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I was her nurse for many years at hoag. We were very close and even would talk outside the hospital. She was just a fun woman and we would always laugh in her room about stories we would tell one another. She was great. She always would give me like motherly advice since I had lost my mom a couple of years ago. Shannon called herself my “cool aunt” and she would give me advice on different things. She was such a fighter and I took care of her during her last admission here at the hospital. She didn’t wanna give up and she was so strong. Although she was very tired and not feeling well during her last admission, she still found a way to make me laugh about something ridiculous I remember haha... she was brutally honest and so funny which I loved about her. I will always remember our conversations and a smile comes to my face. I’m happy to know she is no longer suffering as painful as it is that she’s not physically here... she will always be in my thoughts.
