

Sharon Yvonne Post, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on February 6, 2024, at home in Irvine, CA. Born April 16, 1937, in Omaha, NE, to Virginia Hansen (deceased) and Raymond Channel (deceased).
Eventually the family moved to Garden Grove, CA where she graduated Garden Grove High School in 1954. Soon after, she met & married the love of her life, Raymond Post, and they were married 63 years. Together they shared a passion for gardening, travel and vintage planes creating a lifetime of memories together.
Sharon's professional and personal life were a testament of her dedication & creativity, she was an integral part of Post Brothers Construction Company, working alongside her husband and contributing significantly to its success. Her commitment to community was evident through her involvement in serving in her children’s school as PTA president, other school volunteer activities and Girl Scouting. Sharon's lifelong love for learning and design led her to return to college, where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Architectural Design from CSU Long Beach. A member of ASID, her talent and education allowed her to leave a lasting impact on many.
Sharon was a gifted artist, expressing her creativity through watercolor paintings, needlework and a myriad of handcrafted projects. Her passion for gardening was unparalleled; she had the magical touch to grow beautiful gardens that brought joy to all. An excellent cook and baker, Sharon's holiday meals were not only delicious but beautifully prepared and presented; no-one left their home hungry.
Predeceased by her husband Raymond Post, her mother Virginia Hansen, sister Karen Hinchcliff, and her granddaughter Tara; Sharon's legacy lives on through her loving children Diane Petersen, Stephanie Harrison, and Christopher Post; her six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren, who will forever cherish her memory.
Services to celebrate Sharon's life will be held in March 2024 at Westminster Memorial Park at 12:00 PM. Sharon's life was a beautiful tapestry of love, creativity, and community service. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
