Shirley Joanne Sanders

Shirley was born in Aberdeen, South Dakota where she grew up. She got married to Merlin Tunby, also of South Dakota. Merlin joined the Air Force and they moved to Spokane, Washington where they had their first son Brad. After he had served, they went back to Aberdeen and had their second son Tony. Shirley then moved to Chino, California where her Mom lived. Soon after that Shirley became a Deputy Marshall in Pomona. Shirley divorced prior to coming to California. She then got married to John Sanders and they ultimately moved to Garden Grove where she had her son, John Sanders Jr. “My Three Sons”. She changed her occupation to selling Avon, which she really liked. It enabled her to be at home with her boys. She is survived by her sons, Brad Tunby and his children Joel and Carly, Tony Tunby and his children, Kenny, Kevin, Toni and Tawni and John Sanders Jr and his daughter Morgan. Also she has grandchildren, Kenny, Kevin, Toni, Tawni, Joel, Carly and Morgan. She is also survived by her great grandchildren, Ulises, Jordan and Makala. This family has had wonderful lives all do to their Mom and Dad. Couldn’t have been better!!!

Funeral services for Shirley will be held Saturday, December 2, 2017, at Westminster Memorial Park Mortuary. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM in the Lakeside Chapel with services beginning at 10:00 AM, followed by graveside.
