

He was the loving husband of Pilar Aguilar for 37 years, having married on August 6, 1986, after a fateful meeting at Schwegmann's supermarket in New Orleans where he worked as a manager.
Teodoro's journey began at St. John Academy and later led him to serve as a police officer in the Philippines before transitioning to roles as a grocery supervisor in New Orleans, LA, and eventually as a maintenance supervisor at Embassy Suites in Irvine, California, where he dedicated many years before retiring.
Known for his gentle demeanor and unwavering support, Teodoro was the eldest brother of nine siblings. He was always a pillar of strength and readily extended a helping hand to his family whenever needed. His passions included caring for birds, particularly his beloved parrots and love birds. In his leisure time, he found solace in fishing and enjoyed engaging in spirited games of mahjong.
Teodoro was cherished for his hardworking nature, his handsome appearance, and his kind and attentive demeanor, especially towards his cherished wife, Pilar.
He is preceded in death by his father Nestor Yaneza Aguilar, mother Lydia Averilla Salgado Aguilar, sister Nelia Aguilar Dimawala, brother Alan Salgado Aguilar, and sister Ofelia Salgado Aguilar Fajiculay. Teodoro is survived by his devoted wife Pilar Aguilar, sisters Erlinda Aguilar Salimo, Sylvia Aguilar Adlawan, Remedios Aguilar Helm, brothers George Salgado Aguilar, Roberto Salgado Aguilar, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to honor Teodoro's life and legacy on Thursday, July 11, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Westminster Memorial Park Main Chapel.
Teodoro "Teddy" Salgado Aguilar will be remembered fondly for his generosity, his love for his family, and his enduring kindness towards all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace.
