Ty Thi Nguyen

Mrs. Nguyễn Thị Tý was born in 1923 in Sĩ Lâm Nam, Ninh Bình Province, Vietnam. She was the sixth daughter in a traditional Confucian family of nine siblings and was raised in a home that valued compassion, integrity, strong moral character, and deep respect for others.

She married Mr. Nguyễn Địch Khánh, and together they were blessed with nine children – four sons and five daughters. Today, her family has grown to include 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, all of whom carry forward the values and love she instilled in them.

In 1954, Mrs. Tý and her family migrated from Northern Vietnam to Southern Vietnam in search of a new beginning. In 1975, they embarked on another life-changing journey, leaving Saigon and settling in California, where they rebuilt their lives once again with perseverance and hope.

Mrs. Tý was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and the heart of her family. She was a woman of extraordinary strength, resilience, and compassion, always placing the needs of her loved ones and others before her own. Through war, displacement, and the challenges of starting over in a new country, she faced every hardship with courage, determination, and unwavering faith. Her sacrifices, hard work, and steadfast devotion helped provide opportunities for her children, grandchildren, and future generations to thrive.

She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, perseverance, and deep commitment to family. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the family she nurtured, and the values she passed down through generations.

Mrs. Nguyễn Thị Tý passed away peacefully on May 18, 2026, at the age of 102 in Irvine, California, surrounded by the love of her family. Though she will be deeply missed, her love, wisdom, and spirit will remain in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her memory will continue to be a source of strength, inspiration, and blessing for generations to come.

Visitation will be held at Westminster Memorial Park Mortuary, 14801 Beach Blvd, Westminster, CA 92683, US, on June 12, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

A Funeral Service will be held at Westminster Memorial Park Mortuary, 14801 Beach Blvd, Westminster, CA 92683, US, on June 13, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.

A Committal Service will be held at External Service Location, 8301 Talbert Ave, Huntington Beach, CA 92647, US, on June 13, 2026, beginning at 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family of Mrs. Ty Thi Nguyen respectfully asks that donations be made in her memory to Caritas Vinh Long Foundation. All donations are tax-deductible. A letter of acknowledgement, along with a tax receipt, will be sent to each donor. All donations received will be placed into an emergency fund to support underserved individuals in need of emergency medical care and other urgent assistance throughout the years.
