

William Charles (“Chuck”) Ainsworth, age 71, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side, on August 17, 2015. Chuck was born on June 19, 1944, in Jackson, Mississippi, to his father W.C. Ainsworth and mother Cuma Lee Ainsworth, who predeceased him. He came to California with his parents at age 10.
Charles had a successful career as a real estate appraiser, working at several banks in Southern California, as well as owning an appraisal business for many years. He was a fun-loving man who enjoyed classic cars, riding his bike, traveling in the RV, writing songs, playing the guitar, and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; his children, Caryn (Dave) Co and Gregory (Tricia) Ainsworth; two stepchildren, Tim (Christina) Schroeder and Tricia (Rory) Cameron; brothers, Jerry (Martha) Ainsworth and Jimmy (Emma) Ainsworth; sisters, Diana Burke and Linda Ainsworth; and 11 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on August 29, 2015, at Grace Lutheran Church, Huntington Beach, followed by a reception. Arrangements have been made through Westminster Memorial Park.
