

Zemova was born on July 7, 1924 in Gorman, South Dakota. One of 12 children raised by Chester and Jeannette Doerr, Zemova graduated from Arlington High School and worked in a Los Angeles area Douglas Aircraft factory during WW II. After the war she returned to South Dakota and married Orvin Andrew Overskei of Nunda, South Dakota. Orvin and Zemova farmed at Nunda until 1962, moving to Westminster, California for health reasons. They returned to South Dakota again in 1964 and then moved to Garden Grove, California in 1968 to the current residence.
Zemova was preceded in death by Orvin Overskei in 1991. Survivors include her children: Marilyn Stout of Mission Viejo, California; David of San Diego, California; Timothy of Templeton, California; Julie Overskei of Peekskill, NewYork; and six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, four brothers and two sisters.
Memorial services will be held at Westminster Memorial Park,14801 Beach Blvd, Westminster, California at 12:00 noon on Thursday, December 13, 2012. You can park on the south side of the chapel. Immediately after the service, people are invited to attend the brief internment ceremony at the gravesite. Following the internment, all are invited to the house at 9351 Dewey Drive, Garden Grove, CA where substantial food, drink, libations and memories will be served.
