Carol was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario. After her high school graduation, she moved with her parents to Ituna, Saskatchewan to be closer to their immediate family. As a self-declared "Genetic Flatlander," Saskatchewan was home there after. In the 1960's, Carol attended the University of Regina where she met her husband Len and received her Bachelor of Arts for Visual and Performing Arts along with her Professional Teachers Degree.
In 1970, Carol and Len married and went on to have 3 children, Jason, Ryan and Katherine. Carol spent 30+ years teaching in a number of communities across Saskatchewan. After retiring from teaching, Len and Carol moved to Weyburn where retired life never slowed her down. She very much enjoyed the community of Weyburn and became an active member of a number of groups: Weyburn Art Council, Variations Choir, Crocus 80, Weyburn Red Hat, CWL and the Catholic church Choir.
Carol's passions and talents in life were abundant! First and foremost, she valued her family above all else. Her favorite days started in the kitchen preparing a massive and delicious feast and ended around the table listening to her family's laughter and contributing to the light hearted teasing.
Carol's creativity as an artist knew no bounds. She created works of life-like art with coloured pencils, graphic pencils, water colours, acrylics and oil paints, sculpting materials and more. Carol very much enjoyed her days when she ventured away from the dining room light to paint with the signal hill painters and always looked forward to entering and enjoying the pieces entered into the James Weir People's Choice Exhibition.
Carol will forever be remembered by her family and friends for her sense of humour and ability to carry on a conversation- no matter what the subject! If you were to take away something from Carol's life; it was to wear those accessories, play an instrument, try a new recipe and enjoy anything that makes you smile.
Carol was predeceased by her parents, Phillip & Joanne Mishurski; in-laws, Donald & Louise Reeve and grandson, Jordan Clory.
Carol is survived by her husband of 51 years, Len Reeve of Weyburn, SK; son, Jason Reeve of Weyburn, SK; son, Ryan (Marie) Reeve of Weyburn, SK and their children, Vivian and her son, Bowan, Michael (Alex); daughter, Katherine (Jason) Tomaszewski of Carlyle, SK and their children, Sawyer and Carter; brothers in law, Richard (Shirley) Reeve, Louis (Jill) Reeve, Tim (Rosemarie) Reeve as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
